Built in 2001, designed by William “Buddy” Johnson, The Rock Golf Club offers 18 holes of the most extraordinary elevation changes on the North Fork of Long Island. The par 71 championship golf course plays 6,404 yards from the back tees and has a premium driving range, short game area, and a teaching facility. When you challenge The Rock, you will feel like it’s your own private course due to its no tee time needed environment. Its unique terrain and challenging greens provide a test for anyone, while remaining enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. ABOUT THE COURSE
Phase 1 of our multi-million-dollar redevelopment will be complete in the Spring of 2023. Starting in 2021, under new ownership, we began to “Polish The Rock.” Renovations to the clubhouse, locker rooms, pro shop, and restaurant were underway, several trees trimmed and we continued the process of improving the overall turf health of the course. Some tee boxes were rebuilt and reshaped, lengthening some holes or providing a different view and angle off the tee, all while staying true to the original layout and design of the course.
